Stranger Things star Sadie Sink says scale of season 4 is ‘out of this world’

Sadie Sink has promised Stranger Things season 4 will be the ‘most bizarre’ yet, and we’re even more excited.

The thrilling sci-fi series will follow a new ‘war’ for Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and the rest of the Hawkins gang, and, nearly three years since the last season, this time around it looks to be just as scary as we’d expect, with a new gruesome villain known as Vecna.

Following the trailer dropping, Sadie, who plays Max Mayfield, has promised that the fourth season is ‘out of this world.’

‘It’s the most bizarre season we’ve ever had,’ she said.

Speaking to People, she emphasised the spectacle of the new episodes, saying the upcoming season is ‘just the scale of it is out of this world’.

The trailer shows Max mourning the loss of her brother Billy Hargrove (who was killed in the last season) before she levitates at his gravesite, with Sadie recalling that particular episode as ‘wild.’

She added that the new villain Vecna, who appears in the final moments of the trailer, glaring menacingly at the camera, is ‘really scary’.

Some fans have even predicted that Max’s levitating moment could be a sign she’s connected to Vecna.

Sadie’s not the only one to leave fans with high expectations ahead of the fourth season, as Finn Wolfhard (who plays Mike Wheeler) has previously shared that this ‘darker’ season mirrors Harry Potter, while Millie admitted this season was ‘the hardest to film.’

‘This has definitely been the hardest season I’ve ever filmed,’ she told Collider.

‘And there have been some of the scariest things that I’ve ever seen as a human, which you guys will get to see for sure.

‘I’ll get to tell more stories and touch on my experiences as a person filming on the set with these legitimate scary things.’

Stranger Things season 4 part 1 will be available to stream on Netflix from Friday, May 27.
