Strictly Come Dancing’s Caroline Quentin has had her first row with Johannes Radebe amid the pressure of the competition.

The actress admitted that she had snapped at her pro partner during rehearsals for Movie Week, as the intense training schedule began to take its toll.

The pair’s situation has been made even more heavy by the fact they are currently in a close cohort for the sake of the show – an intense form of social bubble to avoid coronavirus ruling them out of the show.

Speaking on This Morning, the pair were seen back on good terms and giggling after clearing the air after their spat.

‘She’s a fantastic student, and I must say that because she’s sitting next to me,’ Johannes said.

‘She’s a very strong woman, but she takes directions so well.

‘As you can see, I think the performances have been proof of that. So really, I’ve been enjoying my time with her.’

Caroline then came clean, and said: ‘It’s very nice of [him] to say that when we had our first barney yesterday.

‘We’re both still slightly ouchie from it, because I got a bit…’

Explaining what happened, she added: ‘It’s quite hard sometimes to be told all the time by someone that is always genuinely right, it’s quite frustrating.

‘I offered an opinion about a dance step, and I was entirely wrong but rather than back down gracefully, I just banged on about it.

‘He just got really annoyed with me! I was like, “Well I know I’m right about this”.

‘Then about 10 minutes later I suddenly realised I was entirely wrong.’

‘I think our honeymoon period’s over,’ Caroline concluded. ‘I think it’s gonna be – no, actually, it won’t because I’m going to learn to be quiet.’

Almost ironically, the pair will be performing Everything’s Coming Up Roses from the musical Gypsy, a Couples’ Choice theatrical routine.

They will be hoping to keep their spot in the competition, with the much-loved series airing without a live studio audience for the first time

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
