In scenes which aired last night, Ranvir and her dance partner Giovanni Pernice were put in the bottom two against Jamie Laing and Karen Hauer.
However, it was the end of the road for Ranvir and Giovanni, as the judges decided to put Jamie through to the final.
Taking to Twitter, Ben told his followers that he was feeling quite emotional about his co-star.
‘Am gutted for @Ranvir10 it’s been a delight watching her on @BBCstrictly she’s been just amazing and without doubt our winner,’ he penned.
‘Thanks to @pernicegiovanni for looking after her so well.’
GMB host Susanna Reid also praised her colleague for being ‘graceful and beautiful’.
‘That was so hard,’ Susanna tweeted. ‘Ranvir has been a beautiful, graceful Queen every week on the Strictly dancefloor. So proud of you @ranvir01.’
In the dance-off Ranvir and Giovanni performed their Waltz to Un Giorno Per Noi by Josh Groban, while Jamie and Karen performed their Salsa to Last Dance by Donna Summer.
Speaking to Tess Daly after the results were announced, Ranvir said: ‘I’m just really sorry for him [Giovanni]. He’s worked so hard and been in so many finals that I’m really sorry I couldn’t do it for you. Sorry.’
‘You don’t have to be sorry at all,’ Giovanni responded: ‘We’ve both worked very hard, you’ve been an absolute dream to work with.
‘You are a true hero, your job at three o’clock in the morning then you come in the room and dance with me.
‘More than anything you’ve grown as a person and this for me is the most rewarding thing that I could ask for, so well done to you. Well done.’
The Strictly Come Dancing finals airs on Saturday on BBC One.
