The comedian has emerged as a real fan favourite in the competition, turning in some of the most memorable performances in recent years with professional partner Oti Mabuse.
But rather than winning for professional pride, Bill wants to win so his friends can pay for Christmas with their winnings.
‘The competition is really hotting up,’ he told The Sun.
‘There has been quite some betting going on. It’s mainly my friends. They keep texting me every week when we get through, saying: “Well done, Bill, keep going, we’re betting on you”.’
He added: ‘There will be a lot of people that I will be paying for Christmas if I make it all the way. I have a lot of pressure on my shoulders.’
Bill also revealed he’s lost more than a stone since first beginning rehearsals, and his slimmer figure almost caused a problem during filming on the One Show.
‘I’ve certainly lost weight – a lot of clothes feel baggy. I went to do some filming where I had to go paddleboarding,’ he said.
‘I put on shorts that I wear normally. I put the microphone in my pocket and my shorts started falling down around my knees… It almost caused an incident.’
Bill returns to the dance floor in Saturday’s quarter final, which will see contestants deliver new routines as part of Musicals Week.
A new teaser has been revealed for the show, which sees professional dancers Giovanni Pernice, Gorka Marquez and Johannes Radebe take to the floor in full drag.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 7.25pm on BBC One
