Ranvir and her undeniable bond with Giovanni Pernice has been charming audiences every week, with her Good Morning Britain team behind her the entire way.
Even Piers Morgan has been cheering her on.
But Charlotte, who has just released classical music collection Mindful Moments, has said the show has done more than show Ranvir’s ability to dance – it’s also given her friend a well-deserved confidence boost to be more herself.
Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, Charlotte said: ‘I’m so proud of her because she’s done amazingly, and considering she hasn’t had any dance experience, she just makes it look effortless.
‘She’s talked about the fact that the way she’s viewed herself, the way she viewed herself, her body, herself as a single mum, you just see her confidence blossoming week after week, which I think is such a special thing.
‘The things she is saying I think resonate with a lot of people watching, and it’s just been so great to see her dance such beautiful dances.’
‘I don’t know where she’s been hiding this ballroom dancer that she’s obviously had inside her for her whole life, that’s now finally got the chance to come out!’ Charlotte continued.
‘I’m keeping everything crossed that she can do it and she can get the glitterball.’
Talking about her advice to Ranvir, after taking part in the competition herself back in 2017, Charlotte said: ‘There’s no experience like it, but it is the most amazing thing. So I said to her “you’ve just got to make the most of every single moment”, which she absolutely is doing.
‘She’s done us so proud – Piers is going to be thrilled if we do finally have a Good Morning Britain triumph on our hands, maybe he’ll give me a bit less of a hard time as a consequence!’
Ranvir has a fight though if she wants to make it through to next week’s final – falling to the bottom of the leaderboard on Saturday night’s live show after failing to impress with her jive to Christina Aguilera’s Candyman, and waltz to Un Giorni Per Noi.
Will she be able to get into the final stretch of the glitterball?
Charlotte Hawkins’ classical music CD collection Mindful Moments is out now via Sony Classical.
Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One.
