The BBC Radio One presenter has been paired up with Aljaž Škorjanec, seeing the duo dance the Cha Cha to Dua Lipa’s Don’t Start Now.
And it looks as though she could end up in this year’s top three – according to Twitter.
Fans were quick tot take to the social media platform to express how well the 36-year-old performed.
‘Clara killed her dance. Please let her go all the way to the final,’ one wrote while another said: ‘Clara for final 3 (ok I am over-excited).’
Someone else felt the same, and added: ‘Clara is going to be in the final.’
While others said: ‘Clara and Aljaz were one of my predictions for Final 4 after last week’s launch show. Do I stand by that now I’ve seen them dance? Abso-freaking-lutely!!!
‘With the exception of the first dip which felt slightly off that was great.’
And it seems the judges agreed with those watching at home, as head judge Shirley Ballas praised Clara’s routine.
‘There’s not a part of your body that can’t move,’ she enthused. ‘You have some rhythm in that body let me tell you! There’s a great chemistry between you.’
Motsi Mabuse quipped: ‘Every single step you did you were spot on.’
And while Craig thought it was ‘stompy’, he did add: ‘The disco elements I loved.’
After landing the score 18, presenter Claudia Winkleman then asked how much Clara loved Dua Lipa before showing her a special message from the pop star.
‘I love that you’re dancing the Cha Cha to Don’t Start Now,’ the singer beamed down the lens. ‘I love you lots, and lots, and lots and lots, you’re going to smash it! Good luck!’
Aljaž freaked out at the message as he squealed: ‘That’s beautiful.’
Let’s hope we see a lot more of them.
Strictly Come Dancing continues next Saturday on BBC One.
