Strictly Come Dancing 2020: Giovanni Pernice tells Ranvir Singh ‘I love you’ on ballroom floor

Strictly Come Dancing’s Giovanni Pernice told Ranvir Sing ‘I love you’ during their performance on Saturday night in previously unheard scenes.

The professional dancer, who has been embroiled in dating rumours with the Good Morning Britain presenter, shared some heartwarming sentiments with his partner as they got into character for their American Smooth.

A video shared on the show’s official Twitter page revealed conversations between the couples as they prepared to take to the ballroom floor and Giovanni was heard saying: ‘Surprise, it’s our song baby girl!’

‘I love this song!’ Ranvir replied, as Giovanni repeated himself: ‘It’s our song.’

‘So lovely!’ Ranvir enthused.

Giovanni then beamed: ‘I love you, let’s go,’ and the pair began their routine.

Fans were living for the footage on social media, with one commenting: ‘So I think we’ve clearly established Giovanni’s microphone needs to be turned on at all times going forward.

Ranvir previously told Good Morning Britain that she finds the Giovanni dating rumours ‘hilarious’.

She later confirmed that she won’t be shacking up with her dance partner over the Christmas period and stated: ‘No, I’ll be spending it with the main man in my life, my eight-year-old son.

‘That’s who has my heart all of the time.’

Meanwhile, Giovanni is said to be ‘annoyed’ by the speculation of a romance.

‘The romance viewers think they see between them is just for TV,’ a source told The Sun.

‘They have forged a close friendship but there isn’t a spark like that between them.

‘Both of them are getting tired of the rumours.’

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 7.25pm on BBC One.
