The professional and the Good Morning Britain presenter landed joint second from the bottom of the leaderboard for their Cha-Cha-Cha, however, it was Max George and Dianne Buswell who were eliminated after facing Maisie Smith and Gorka Márquez in the dance-off.
Giovanni showed his support for Ranvir in a touching post shared on Twitter, alongside pictures of her tearing up the ballroom.
‘The smile in your face makes me the proudest teacher in the world!’ he penned.
‘We knew it was going to be a tough week and only with your support we are through to week 5 .. can’t describe in words how grateful we are for your votes!
‘Thank you so much .. and now? ARGENTINE TANGO.’
Ranvir also took the time to thank viewers for voting her through to Week 5.
‘That was a tense @bbcstrictly results show!’ she wrote on Twitter. ‘Thank you so much for voting us through to next week.
‘@pernicegiovann1 is chomping at the bit to teach me the Argentine Tango.. anyone have any clues what I should expect my body to do for this one?!’
Fans were shocked to see Max and Dianne voted off the series, especially as they went viral last week due to their Simpsons-inspired routine for Movies Week.
In his farewell to the series, Max said: ‘I’ve loved it. It’s all down to Dianne, she’s been literally amazing.
‘For me to get through 90 seconds of a dance for four weeks now is a credit to her, she’s just unbelievable.
‘I’ve got to say, all these guys over here are the nicest group of people ever. I love you all!’
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 7.15pm on BBC One.
