Singer HRVY has become the first star on this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing to achieve a perfect score of 30 following his mesmerising routine.

On Saturday night, HRVY and his professional dance partner Janette Manrara performed a Couple’s Choice Street/Commercial dance routine to A Sky Full of Stars by Coldplay.

Following his performance, Craig Revel Horwood began the judges’ critiques by describing the 21-year-old as the ‘GOAT’, which he explained meant the ‘greatest of all time’.

It therefore came as no surprise when Craig and his fellow judges Shirley Ballas and the newly-returned Motsi Mabuse awarded HRVY and Janette a perfect score of 30, each giving the pair a 10 for their performance.

Their scoring marked the first time in the 2020 series that a couple has achieved straight 10s.

It also marked the earliest point ever in the competition that a perfect score has been awarded, Claudia informed an astounded HRVY and Janette.

What’s more, Janette excitedly announced that this is the first time she has ever received straight 10s throughout her seven-year tenure on the show.

It was definitely worth the wait!

Several Strictly fans congratulated HRVY and Janette on their impressive performance.

‘Well worth a top score!’ another person said.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Sunday at 7.25pm on BBC One.
