Strictly Come Dancing 2020: Made In Chelsea’s Jamie Laing receives special gift ahead of comeback performance

Made In Chelsea’s Jamie Laing has received a special gift ahead of his comeback performance on Strictly Come Dancing this weekend.

The reality star and his professional partner Karen Hauer found themselves in the bottom two last week, but they’ve been given a boost ahead of their return to the dance floor for the quarter final.

This Saturday the pair are performing to the song Everybody’s Talking About Jamie from the musical of the same name, and they received a special gift from the cast of the show.

Posting on his Instagram page, Jamie said: ‘We just received one of the coolest presents.’

He revealed that the team behind the musical had sent a poster of the musical with Jamie’s face photoshopped in the centre.

Jamie also wrote: ‘An incredible musical, an incredible story and what a privilege to be able to dance the Jive to Everybody’s Talking About Jamie this Saturday night. A story with a beautiful message to everyone who feels like they can’t express themselves.

‘You can express yourself anyway you want!! Find your inner confidence and be whoever you want to be!! Why fit in when we’re born to stand out!! Thank you to the whole cast and crew of [Everybody’s Talking About Jamie] what an amazing present!! Hopefully we make you guys proud!!

Everyone’s Talking About Jamie tells the story of a 16-year-old teenager who finds his identity and overcomes prejudice as he learns to become a drag queen.

It’s an incredibly thoughtful gift – here’s hoping it can inspire a fantastic performance this Saturday.

Jamie has been all smiles in rehearsals this week after landing in the bottom two on last Sunday’s show.

Despite huge praise from the judges for his Argentine Tango, which bagged him 24 points, he was lucky to survive in the competition after Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo was voted out.

The four other celebs that have been eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing so far are Caroline Quentin, Max George, Jason Bell, and Jacqui Smith. Boxer Nicola Adams has also left the competition after her dance partner Katya Jones tested positive for coronavirus.

Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday at 7.25pm with the results show on Sunday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
