The Wanted singer – who is paired up with Dianne Buswell – has been wearing a brace on his arm over the last few weeks.
It was previously reported that the 32-year-old had sprained his wrist in the gym earlier this year, and was still using the cast for support.
Taking to Instagram, he revealed he was back in hospital, showing off his brace for a ‘scan day’.
Another snap showed the star rocking a hospital gown for the day – as well as bright yellow socks that he compared to the costume from his now-infamous Simpsons-themed routine last weekend.
‘Got my Homer feet back,’ he wrote beside a hospital selfie.
Max caused concern when he was spotted the support brace on his arm just days before Strictly kicked off.
A spokesperson for the BBC show said at the time: ‘Max sprained his wrist in the gym a few weeks ago, so it’s just there for support while he trains.’
The Glad You Came singer and Dianne made it through movie week with an iconic dance to the Simpsons theme tune, which baffled many watching at home.
Some branded the routine ‘uncomfortable’ and complained they were ‘freaked out’ by the scenes.
While others stated they had tears in their eyes from how hilarious it was.
Well, at least it was memorable.
The pair will be hitting the dance floor once more on Saturday, performing the American smooth to It Had To Be You by Harry Connick Jr.
A little different to Marge and Homer Simpson…
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 7.10pm on BBC One.
