The pair have been close friends for years, with the BBC star competing in the Invictus Games, an event the Royal created.
After a tough last round in movie week, professional dancer Amy Dowden arranged for the Duke of Sussex to cheer him up with a video call.
Side note: He did not disappoint.
’Nice tan, JJ,’ the 36-year-old quipped, before lifting the lid on their friendship.
‘When I first met JJ, he was a shell of himself,’ he continued. ‘But then to see you shine through Invictus and to be yourself again, that was the start of an amazing journey.
‘You’re definitely having an impact on society, especially when you’re wearing those tight blue shorts.’
‘I’m so proud, genuinely proud,’ he added. ‘Here you are in this position now, you’re not a dancer, proving you can actually do anything you put your mind to, which is amazing.’
We couldn’t agree more.
Fans watching on from home went into meltdown over the sweet scenes.
Flocking to Twitter, a viewer said: ‘I love that Prince Harry was supporting his mate JJ. #Strictly.’
‘Good to see Prince Harry on #Strictly. He looked so relaxed and happy,’ another agreed.
‘Getting Prince Harry on was such a serve, what a moment #Strictly,’ a fan wrote.
One added: ‘That was so lovely of Prince Harry @JJChalmersRM You did brilliantly!
‘Jive such a hard dance. Loved the choreography @dowden_amy #Strictly.’
However, while JJ had the Royal on his side, the judges weren’t completely blown away with his jive
The pair got a total of 17 points for the week.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Sunday, at 7.25pm, on BBC One.
