The television presenter made an emotional appearance on Monday’s It Takes Two with professional partner Giovanni Pernice, saying that the outpouring of support has been a joyful thing to experience.
Speaking to presenter Joe Ball about leaving the competition, Ranvir said: ‘I’ve had a little random tear every now and again.’
‘It’s been amazing. The reaction has been so deep. The connection to people who have really invested in us and watching us. It’s actually been quite a beautiful thing to feel.’
Ranvir went on to joke that she ate a ‘big family-pack size of Wotsits’ after the reality of her exit hit home.
Giovanni also spoke about how far Ranvir had come on the show, saying: ‘I remember week one, when you joined the show you really couldn’t walk straight. Your determination and your improvement has pleased me.’
Giovanni also said that partnering with Ranvir is ‘the most accomplished journey’ he’s ever had on the show.
Struggling to hold back the tears, Ranvir added: ‘I didn’t know that learning to dance with someone like [Giovanna] would expose so much about me.’
After looking at their highlights reel on the programme, an emotional Ranvir said: ‘There’s some really beautiful moments in there and so much more than I ever expected and I’m sad not to be in the Final.
‘But at the same time, I am glad that we’ve moved people to tears and the Argentine tango was an amazing moment. We’ve had some really fantastic memorable moments and I know I couldn’t have got this far without you.’
