Throughout this year’s series of Strictly, viewers have noted the sizzling chemistry between Ranvir and Giovanni as dance partners, with the pair achieving their highest score for their Argentine tango.
When they performed the steamy routine on Saturday 21 November, head judge Shirley Ballas said that she became ‘rather hot under the collar’ watching them, stating: ‘Your legs got entwined and your lips puckered. And you almost kissed each other!’
While recently taking part in a ‘whisper game’, Ranvir and Giovanni were taken back to that headline-grabbing moment.
In the game, Ranvir had to wear a pair of sound-muffling headphones while Giovanni said a phrase, with the television presenter tasked with guessing what Giovanni was saying.
Ranvir quickly realised the phrase that she was guessing – the statement Shirley made about them almost kissing during her critique of their Argentine tango.
‘I know what this is!’ Ranvir said, covering her face and laughing as Giovanni said the phrase.
Later on in the clip, Giovanni read out: ‘And you almost kissed each other,’ to which Ranvir replied: ‘We almost kissed,’ as they both made pucker-up faces.
Earlier this week, Ranvir laughed off rumours of her and Giovanni being romantically involved during an appearance on Good Morning Britain, when she was quizzed on the speculation by Piers Morgan.
She later confirmed that she wouldn’t be spending Christmas with Giovanni, stating: ‘I’ll be spending it with the main man in my life, my eight-year-old son. That’s who has my heart all of the time.’
Earlier this week, the official Strictly Come Dancing Twitter account shared a video revealing the conversations each dance pairing had during their routines on Saturday night’s show.
In the video, Giovanni could be heard saying: ‘Surprise, it’s our song baby girl!’ as they performed an American Smooth, with Ranvir replying: ‘I love this song!’
Then, as they began their routine, Giovanni told Ranvir: ‘I love you, let’s go.’
On Saturday night, Ranvir and Giovanni are set to perform a Viennese Waltz to She Used To Be Mine from Waitress for the highly-anticipated Musicals Week.
