Ranvir, who was eliminated from the dancing competition last weekend, will be swapping the GMB studio for Lorraine.
Lorraine, who will be taking some much-needed time off for Christmas, made the announcement on Wednesday’s show.
Speaking to Ranvir in an interview the host explained: ‘Next week, great news, we are going to be swapping chairs.
‘You’re going to be here which is fabulous, thank you.’
‘No thank you,’ Ranvir chipped in. ‘I am so excited.’
‘It’ll be great, you’ll be brilliant on this show, you’ll be fantastic,’ Lorraine told her.
Ranvir, who has been a presenter on GMB since 2014 continued: ‘Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday next week.’
‘I’ll be at home with a cup of tea watching my Ranvir,’ the host continued.
‘I better not mess it up,’ Ranvir laughed.
On Sunday night Ranvir and her dance partner Giovanni Pernice were put in the bottom two against Jamie Laing and Karen Hauer.
However, it was the end of the road for the pair, as the judges decided to put Jamie through to the final.
Speaking to Lorraine about her exit, the GMB host began: ‘I couldn’t believe how far I had got, to be honest.
‘To get so close and to not make the final, it does hurt a little bit, but in the end, really, I am glad that we left on a beautiful dance – and I don’t mean the jive obviously.’
‘It’s incredible what you can learn in two months,’ she added.
‘I know that sounds like quite a long time but we did lots of different dances. To learn that you have something called “a ballroom frame” which Anton Du Beke said was the best he had seen on Strictly in years…who knew?’
Lorraine airs daily at 9am on ITV.
