Tonight, the celebrities and their professional dance partners on Strictly Come Dancing 2020 will return to the dancefloor once more, showing off their best moves in a bid to win the coveted Glitterball Trophy.
Week six of the competition will see EastEnders star Maisie Smith take on the Quickstep with Gorka Márquez, having narrowly avoided being eliminated last week after winding up in the dance off opposite actor Caroline Quentin and her partner Johannes Radebe.
Meanwhile comedian Bill Bailey, who counts singer Janet Jackson as a fan, will liven up the studio with a Jive to Blondie’s One Way Or Another alongside his partner, Oti Mabuse.
So who is still in the running on this year’s Strictly?
Jamie Laing and Karen Hauer
Having topped the leaderboard last week with their unforgettable Street/Commercial routine, achieving a 9 and two 10s from the judges, Made In Chelsea star Jamie and Karen are set to bring the heat this week with a sizzling Tango, dancing to Tanguera by Sexteto Mayor.
HRVY and Janette Manrara
Singer HRVY and Janette are the latest pairing to take on a Couple’s Choice routine, doing a Street/Commercial dance to A Sky Full Of Stars by Coldplay.
Clara Amfo and Aljaž Škorjanec
Despite receiving the lowest score from the judges last week, radio presenter Clara and Aljaž were saved by the public vote.
This week, they will be doing a Jive to River Deep Mountain High by Tina Turner.
Ranvir Singh and Giovanni Pernice
Having achieved extraordinarily high praise for their Argentine Tango last Saturday, this week television presenter Ranvir and Giovanni will glide across the dancefloor with their American Smooth, dancing to Aretha Franklin’s I Say a Little Prayer.
JJ Chalmers and Amy Dowden
On Instagram, Invictus Games medallist JJ Chalmers wrote that he ‘loved’ last week’s Quickstep routine.
This week, he and Amy will be performing what is sure to be an elegant Viennese Waltz to Rescue by Lauren Daigle.
Maisie Smith and Gorka Márquez
Actor Maisie’s mum, Julia, recently said that her 19-year-old daughter is feeling ‘nervous and vulnerable’ on the show, having landed in the bottom two for two consecutive weeks.
Let’s hope Maisie is able to pick herself up for week six of the competition!
Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse
However, she later discovered that he is a ‘hard worker’, which has paid off with several impressive routines. We can’t wait to see what else he has in store!
Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight at 7.15pm on BBC One.
