Strictly Come Dancing 2021: Gordon Ramsay warns daughter Tilly against dating BBC pro dancers as she joins line-up

Gordon Ramsay warned daughter Matilda to steer clear of dating the Strictly Come Dancing pros as she was unveiled on the line-up for this year’s series.

The 19-year-old will be competing for the glitterball alongside Dan Walker and Katie McGlynn, and shared her terror at taking part on the show on This Morning.

Hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes then surprised her with a video from her parents, with chef Gordon offering his own type of advice for her next project.

‘Hey Tills, it’s your dad, TikTok coach, dance extraordinaire,’ he said. ‘Wishing you all the very best, we’re proud of you girl. Love you!

‘And don’t date those dancers!’

‘She’s leaving you far behind in those dance stakes,’ Tana joked. ‘Thank goodness it’s her and not you.

‘Tilly you’re incredibly brave. I’m terrified but so excited for you. Good luck!’

Matilda was announced to be taking part on today’s This Morning, and shared her fears at taking part with the presenters.

‘I’ve tried dancing before when I was much younger. Mum put us all in ballet but we weren’t very good so we were moved into football camp,’ she confessed.

‘So it’s definitely not my strength.’

The chef and TikTok favourite, who boasts a whopping 9.5million followers on the platform, added of the competition: ‘I’m so excited and grateful to be joining the Strictly family!

‘I’m always up for fun new challenges and this will be my biggest adventure yet! I’m going to put my heart and soul into this and can’t wait to get my dancing shoes on and show my Dad how it’s really done!

‘Bring on the glitz, glamour and sequins!’

Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One later this year.
