It Takes Two host Rylan Clark-Neal has weighed in after LBC’s Steve Allen body-shamed teen Tilly Ramsay on his radio show this week.

Presenter Rylan, 32, is the latest in a long line of famous faces to come out and publicly defend Strictly Come Dancing contestant Tilly, 19, after broadcaster Steve, 67, referred to her as a ‘chubby little thing’ live on air.

Posting on his Twitter account, Rylan said: ‘Come for Tilly, you come for all of us…’

It’s assumed the TV star was talking about his Strictly family, with all the stars of the show known to be incredibly close.

Following the horrid remarks, Tilly said she ‘won’t tolerate people that think it’s okay to publicly comment and scrutinise anyone’s weight and appearance’.

Continuing in the lengthy post on her Instagram profile, she said she tries ‘not to read and listen to comments and negativity’ but ‘being called out on a national radio station by a 67-year-old man is a step too far’.

Directing her statement at the radio host, she continued: ‘Steve please feel free [to] voice your opinions however I draw the line at commenting on my appearance.’

Rylan’s co-host on It Takes Two, Janette Manrara commented below Tilly’s post: ‘How fast we forget what hurtful comments can do for someone’s mental health.

‘You are a POWERFUL young lady! Wear your crown w/ your head held high.’

Head Judge Shirley Ballas and her fellow panellist Motsi Mabuse also left some lovely sentiments in support of Tilly.

Shirley wrote: ‘My darling, having been through this myself I hear you. To me you are beautiful just as you are.’

Motsi added: ‘I can’t believe it how everyone is doing their best to put a show together and working so hard!!! Which means everyone must live with this abuse!!!

‘It’s a shame!!! @tillyramsay you are correct in speaking up for yourself! This is body shaming on a young girl! Shameful!!!!! #bekind is not enough here! She deserves a genuine apology!’

In a clip from his LBC radio show, Steve said: ‘Tilly Ramsay is on Celebrity MasterChef Australia, is she? Well she can’t blooming well dance, I’m bored with her already.

‘She’s a chubby little thing, isn’t she? Have you noticed? Probably her dad’s [Gordon Ramsay’s] cooking I should imagine.’

Tilly – who has fast become to watch on this year’s Strictly – was also given a huge amount of support from more celebs after she bravely shared her upset at the LBC host’s comments on Wednesday morning.

Others who have come out to slam the comments from Steve include Dr Alex George and comedian Jason Manford, who called him ‘a bitter p***k.’

Metro.co.uk has contacted Steve Allen for comment on this story.

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 7.05pm on BBC One.
