They’re one of the most impressive pairs on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing so far, but Tilly Ramsay has played down any rumours of the curse striking again with her and Nikita Kuzmin.

Tilly denied any talk of romance with Nikita, saying that the pair are just good friends after rumours circulated online.

The 19-year-old has dated Londoner Seth Mack since 2019, and things aren’t changing any time soon.

Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, Tilly said about Nikita: ‘We’re just having fun. I think people are just obsessed with the curse but don’t seem to realise we can be just good friends. And that’s all we are. People seem to forget that. I said from the start that I am here to learn to dance and that’s it.’

‘Whatever is being said about us, we’re focused on our own dancing and that’s what matters to us.’

She added: ‘We are really happy just to dance and just to have fun. It’s like two good friends met for Strictly!’

Tilly also had some pretty adorable details to share about their training schedule.

‘Mum makes packed lunches every day, even one for Niki, so it’s nice, it’s really good,’ she said.

‘Yesterday, it was salmon and an Asian coleslaw salad. She makes things that are healthy and very nutritious.’

She added about her supportive family: ‘They wake me up every morning with a cup of tea, then I come down to some nice toast or porridge.’

Tilly performed with Nikita on Saturday night, turning out an impressive Pado Doble.

The teenager definitely has the support of her family, and dad Gordon has shown himself to be just about the proudest father out there so far.

We’ve already had tears from the celeb chef, and now Gordon has been posting throwback snaps and saying he was ‘so proud’ as Tilly prepared to dance on Saturday.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Sunday at 7.10pm on BBC One.
