Strictly Come Dancing celeb stars Tom Fletcher and Adam Peaty couldn’t help but make a joke of it with fans after their tanning pictures were removed from Instagram.
Adam, who struck gold at last month’s Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 and Mcfly singer Tom went to pose to show off their looks complete with spray tans.
However, a cheeky picture of the pair in which Tom was placing his hand to preserve Adam’s dignity was soon taken down after it supposedly broke Instagram’s community guidelines.
The pair were all smiles in the naked snap as they prepared to bronze up ahead of the filming of the show’s launch.
Adam explained the post had been removed for ‘sexual activity’ but of course, they soon made a joke out of the incident.
The breaststroke champion told fans: ‘Great, removed for sexual activity!’
The message explaining why the picture had been taken down read: ‘Your photo was removed.
‘We removed your photo because it goes against our Community Guidelines on nudity or sexual activity.’
But not wanting to damping the spirits of fans, Adam took matters into his own hands and put the snap up on Twitter.
He wrote the caption: ‘It’s @bbcstrictly time! Hope this doesn’t get removed this time.’
Tom gave Strictly viewers a further look behind the scenes of preparations as he got ready to get his tan on.
Another update showed Tom holding a skimpy black thong which he was required to wear for the tanning process – which is still up on the picture sharing site.
He confirmed to his followers: ‘The Strictly spray tans have begun…and yes, I wore these @bbcstrictly.’
Tom and Adam aren’t the only two who’ve been provided some much-wanted backstage updates from the set of the BBC dance competition.
Dragons’ Den investor Sara Davies shared some cute pictures with some of her fellow contestants getting to know each other after their first full day of Strictly-fication.
The snaps showed her drinking and dining with Adam, as well as Ugo Monye and BBC Breakfast’s Dan Walker.
In the caption, she joked: ‘So you’d have thought if I was going for dinner with my new strictly pals @adam_peaty @mrdanwalker and @ugomonye that I would have at least worn a bra, brushed my hair and put some makeup on…
‘But alas no… the spray tan was the priority so we’ve been sat in the hotel bar gossiping and drinking wine with me looking like this.’
Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday September 18 on BBC One.
