The long-awaited show finally returned to television screens last night where it was confirmed who this year’s celebrities have been partnered up with.
After the episode aired and it was announced Clara is dancing with Aljaz Skorjanec, the Radio 1 presenter shared a screengrab of a conversation she had with her mum on WhatsApp.
She captioned the post on Instagram: ‘She finally cracked the concept earlier this week?. #Haaaa #bestwishes.’
In their exchange, Clara sent a video of herself from the show, to which her mum responded: ‘Amazing! Well done! Keep the movement in mind!
‘That’s all you need to do. Every movement done accurately scores a high mark. Best wishes… Lots of ? Mum XXX.’
Clara replied: ‘Fingers crossed! Can’t wait for you to see the first group dance!’
‘Yes, best wishes to all the contestants. XX,’ her mum typed back.
We can’t handle the innocence.
Earlier this month, Clara revealed she isn’t too excited about the prospect of performing a sexy rhumba with her mum watching on, and to be honest, we can’t blame her.
‘If I get the chance to rhumba, I know she’s going to feel a way about it,’ she said.
‘It can go one of two ways, because the rational side of her will understand that it’s just a dance.
‘The rhumba is very sensual, it’s different to other dances, where there’s a franticness to a Charleston, or a salsa or a samba… The rhumba is basically saying like, this is sex.’
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 7.25pm on BBC One.
