Strictly Come Dancing: Judge Shirley Ballas acts coy as she addresses Live Tour romance speculation: ‘It’s not my place to say…’

Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirly Ballas was looking visibly bashful while questioned over possible romances on the Live Tour on Lorraine.

The Live Tour kicked off earlier this month, with stars including Rose Ayling-Ellis, Giovanni Pernice, John Whaite and Johannes Radebe returning to the dancefloor to perform for adoring fans across the nation.

It seems as though the cast are having just as much fun in their free time as they are on stage, with the group spotted enjoying drinks when they’re off the clock.

However, there has also been speculation that romantic relationships have blossomed out of the friendships, something which Lorraine asked Shirley about directly on her eponymous talk show.

While speaking to the Strictly judge over video chat on Tuesday, she asked: ‘In the papers, Shirley, I’m just wondering if you’re being anti-Shirley with all of this, the romances – what’s going on?’

Shirley looked abashed by the line of questioning, but remained tight-lipped, as she responded: ‘I don’t really know what’s going on to be honest. It’s not my place to say,’ before adding: ‘There’s always rumours!’

If Shirley does know anything, she’s doing a great job at keeping the secrets.

Over the weekend, Strictly stars including Rose, Tilly Ramsay and judge Craig Revel Horwood were photographed having a whale of a time, larking around into the early hours.

Tilly even took part in an impromptu dance session with Aljaž Škorjanec gave her an impromptu dance session, twirling around as Craig and Rose stood nearby.

Rose and Giovanni kept their winning streak up on the first night of the tour, lifting the Glitterball Trophy yet again on the first date in Birmingham.

It was recently revealed that the professional dancer commemorated his win with the EastEnders actor – his first ever victory on Strictly – with a special tattoo.

The tattoo featured an illustration of the Glitterball trophy with ‘SCD’ written across to signify Strictly Come Dancing, as well as the date of the final.

At one point during the Live Tour, Rose took a bit of a stumble down the stairs while performing with Giovanni, avoiding falling down as she regained her balance.

She brushed off the tumble like a pro, later laughing about it on social media by writing: ‘Just carry on and act it didn’t happen,’ alongside a couple of cry-laughing emojis.

Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
