Coupled with their obvious sizzling chemistry on the dancefloor, it has sparked rumours that there might be more to their relationship than just being platonic.
Piers Morgan couldn’t wait to press Ranvir on the photos and said on Monday’s GMB: ‘Let the record show I’ve asked you about the paparazzi hand-holding pictures and there’s been no denial. No denial, just a “I don’t read my press”.’
In an attempt to defend her colleague, Susanna Reid jumped in: ‘It wasn’t a hand, she was holding onto his elbow.’
Ranvir then wondered: ‘What do you want me to deny Piers?’
The presenter then explained in a roundabout way: ‘I’m a great expert in all things sizzling romance as you know. I’m just looking at the imagery on the show, I’m looking at the pap pictures quietly and I’m doing the maths and I’m reaching a 2+2 equals four.’
Ranvir, who appeared via video link, laughed it off and replied: ‘That’s hilarious, I think you should stick to words, you’re very good with words.’
She later confirmed that she won’t be shacking up with Giovanni over the Christmas period and stated: ‘No , I’ll be spending it with the main man in my life, my eight-year-old son. That’s who has my heart all of the time.’
Piers congratulated Ranvir on making it so far in the competition and said: ‘It’s a huge audience watching this, everyone’s loving you and very proud of you. You’re representing us in a brilliant way and we couldn’t be more proud of you so keep going.’
