The performers of Strictly Come Dancing are apparently terrified to use the loo… because of a ghost.
That’s correct. Elstree Studios, the location of the BBC ballroom show, is said to be haunted, and strange occurrences have recently increased.
It’s been said that while a Strictly Come Dancing judge was on the loose lately, the stall doors banged shut on their own.
Even more perplexing, the windows were closed, preventing the unusual episode from being explained away by the breeze.
‘The toilets sounded like they were weeping and made odd noises. It was incredibly eerie and no one was around,’ the source told The Sun.
‘There have always been rumours the Strictly studios were haunted, but this has just confirmed the fears.’
It was reported last month that Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel Horwood had raised worries about the ‘haunted’ studio.
From “unexplained bumps” to “other incidents,” the stars are alleged to have asked the BBC to hire a “spirit guide.”
According to a source, several of Strictly’s major stars are ‘hysterical’ at the prospect of having to spend time in the studio.
They told The Sun: ‘A number of them have experienced things they cannot explain.
‘To say some of the professionals are hysterical at the thought of having to go back and spend large amounts of time at Elstree is an understatement.’
However, a BBC spokesperson previously rubbished the reports, branding them ‘nonsense.’
So far, this year’s Strictly has seen the elimination of comedian Eddie Kadi, radio personality Nikita Kanda, Paralympic champion Jody Cundy, and comic Les Dennis.
Amanda Abbington, a Sherlock actor, also dropped out of the series for ‘personal reasons,’ after missing the last live performance due to’medical issues,’ and sent a note imploring her followers to ‘be nice,’ which was quickly deleted.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6.40pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
