Strictly Come Dancing stars to perform on New Year’s Big Night In

Strictly Come Dancing stars are helping fans to see in 2021 by performing a new routine on BBC One’s New Year’s Big Night In.

The professionals from the show will perform for millions of viewers around the UK, helping them to enjoy December 31 in style this evening.

Taking to the floor for a brand new routine, the professional dancers will perform to a medley of I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me) and Dance Again by Jennifer Lopez.

Some of the show’s most recognisable faces are taking part, with Johannes Radebe, Luba Mushtuk, Anton Du Beke, Dianne Buswell, Graziano Di Prima, Nadiya Bychkova, Neil Jones, Nancy Xu, Amy Dowden and Aljaž Skorjanec all involved.

It seems a fitting way for viewers to see in the New Year, after Strictly helped so many through lockdown in 2020.

Paddy McGuiness is hosting New Year’s Big Night In this evening, celebrating the arrival of 2021 (and more importantly, the back of 2020).

The show will feature guest appearances, quizzes and live music. The likes of Maya Jama, Shirley Ballas, Jordan North and Chris Kamara will help Paddy host the show.

As well as the Strictly professionals, there’ll also be performances from Sheridan Smith and The Frock Destroyers to look out for.

It comes after Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse celebrated winning the most recent series of Strictly Come Dancing, beating HRVY, Maisie Smith and Jamie Laing to win the Glitterball Trophy.

The Strictly professionals were responsible for some of the standout moments from the series, including Johannes Radebe’s incredible tribute to Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

The Big New Years In airs at BBC One at 9pm this evening.
