Strictly Come Dancing’s Shirley Ballas missed her appearance on It Takes Two tonight, leaving Motsi Mabuse to be interviewed solo.
The head judge was due to join her fellow panellist and presenter Zoe Ball for a chat, however was unable to make it to the BBC studio in time.
Before the end of the show, Zoe explained Shirley’s absence was out of her control as she was stuck in traffic, so Motsi was interviewed on her own.
‘Shirley was meant to be here, but she’s stuck in traffic,’ Zoe told audiences. ‘She’s absolutely gutted not to be here. We would Zoom her in… ‘
Zoe added: ‘We send her love and we will get her on the show soonish.’
Shirley updated her Instagram Stories before tonight’s It Takes Two began, telling her fans she didn’t think she’d arrive to the show in time.
‘I’m not sure I’m going to make it to It Takes Two because the traffic is horrendous,’ she said.
‘We’ve been sat in the car for two and a half hours and the traffic is not moving.
‘I’m desperately desperately sorry if I don’t make it, but we’re trying.’
During tonight’s It Takes Two, Motsi revealed that Jamie Laing could be the dark horse who wins the series.
‘I think Jamie has dances that suit him, that suit his personality, and the best thing about Jamie is he’s so into it, he’s so happy,’ she enthused.
She added: ‘Just give him a bit of time and Jamie might be that secret winner that not everybody is thinking of.’
It Takes Two airs weekdays at 6.30pm on BBC One.
