The singer was joined by his dance partner Amy Dowden on the show ahead of their huge return to the main series after they both tested positive for Covid.
The pair are now able to return to Strictly after missing week two and have been training in the studio ready for this weekend’s movie week.
Presenter Janette Manrara welcomed them both in the studio and revealed the singer will be performing the jive and channeling his inner Marty McFly.
‘This movie changed my life by the way, it means so much to me that we’re getting to do this on movie week,’ Tom revealed.
‘My band is named after McFly, this movie is the reason I play guitar, so I’m living the dream. Danny and Dougie are coming to watch on Saturday because our band is named after this film,’ he added.
While the 36-year-old guitarist is ready to take on the role of Marty, Amy however, will not be taking on the role of Marty’s time-traveling companion, Doc Brown.
Amy said: ‘Absolutely not! Tom would love that, but no.’
The dancing duo isolated by themselves for 10 days in accordance with Government guidelines but were delighted to confirm their comeback ahead of this weekend.
The pair will take to the dancefloor live on Saturday night, as one more couple is sent home following Nina Wadia’s exit.
Here’s hoping their jive will be the biggest comeback of the night!
