Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola have officially confirmed their romance after months of speculation.
Last month, former Coronation Street actress Ellie, 22, and her professional partner Vito, 31, won the latest season of the long-running BBC dance show.
In the weeks previously, they were the subject of romance allegations, which began when Amanda Abbington referred to them as a ‘beautiful pair’ on social media.
Soon after, they did nothing to quell the rumours, with Vito calling Ellie his ‘baby’, kissing on live TV, and posting several effusive posts about each other.
However, they have finally straightened things up.
The two have announced their position ahead of the Strictly Live Tour.
What have Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola said about their relationship?
‘We have a great relationship and honestly when you just find people, not just me and Ellie but their family which I love,’ he told The Mirror.
‘You just find these people that you think are going to stay in my life forever, in each other’s lives forever. And all the family and the dogs.’
Ellie added: ‘And the dogs, yes Rufus!’
Continuing, Vito said: ‘We are going no-where, don’t worry I am going to annoy you every single day, every week and every single year.’
When asked if they meant as friends, Ellie replied ‘yes’ while he added: ‘Yes as good friends.’
After winning the season, Ellie praised Vito, calling him a ‘wonderful instructor’ who had made Strictly an experience she would ‘never forget’.
‘Thank you so much for that, Vito, and thank you for finding the dancer in me,’ she added in her Instagram post.
Meanwhile her partner commented: ‘To read this makes me feel more and more proud of you. Well said. You inspire and give the strength to so many people without even know. Keep being yourself.’
Around the same time, it was revealed that the couple was engaged in a’showmance’ to garner votes.
