Strictly Come Dancing may have just ended, but Craig Revel Horwood is already planning the stars for 2024.
The 58-year-old judge believes Simon Cowell could replace his high-waisted black pants for a glittery pair as the next celebrity to tackle the Salsa on the forthcoming edition of the famous BBC show.
He initially disclosed on Lorraine that the judging panel, which also includes Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, and Shirley Ballas, all share a same desire of the monarchy.
‘We always dream of royalty,’ he disclosed before quickly adding: ‘But I would love to see Simon Cowell on it.’
Craig thinks Simon, 64, who has judged everyone on The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, should get some vengeance.
‘I think he’d suit the costumes, his wit would be brilliant, and his dry sense of humour. I would love it. It’d be so good. A little bit of a taste of his own medicine I suppose,’ shaed Craig, who was speaking from London’s New Wimbledon theatre, where he is performing in pantomime Cinderella.

Craig also denied departing Strictly on ITV Daytime.
‘I’m not leaving, by the way. I am not leaving,’ he stated.
Having Craig go would undoubtedly lead to more flawless 40s, but it wouldn’t be the same.
He reckons that his sometimes harsh criticism is needed on the series: ‘I think people deserve the truth at some stage in their lives and that is why I’m there, to be completely honest and straight down the line.’
Craig hopes his words improve their Strictly trip.
‘Hopefully, in order for them to become better dancers. That is my only intention. It’s not to slag people off for no reason at all. It’s not about that.’
He continued: ‘I’m a trained professional and I react to the dancing that I see. It’s only fair that I’m honest with them.’
Last month, he told Kate Lawler on Lorraine that he may change roles.
‘I might hang up my dancing shoes just on the stage and go towards direction but that’s about it,’ he explained.
Craig is Strictly Come Dancing‘s longest-serving judge, joining in 2004.
