Sara Davies somehow persuaded her fellow Strictly stars to get their kit off for a morning swim as they looked for a change of scenery amid the ongoing live shows.
The cast of Strictly Come Dancing 2021 have been having the time of their lives on tour so far, with the seven celebrities enjoying spending extra time with the show’s pro dancers.
They’ve been papped drinking and celebrating following performances as well as undertaking some very important retail therapy.
But ahead of their first Newcastle show, Sara had a more exhilarating suggestion to start the morning off following their late-night finish.
Posting on her Instagram stories, she said: ‘So you’re not going to believe what I’ve managed to talk the guys into… going wild swimming in the sea at Tynemouth Beach!
‘Nobody has a wet suit, some of them don’t even have swimming costumes, but we’re going in!’
The Dragons’ Den star subsequently posted some videos of the group running into the sea, despite most of them being very unprepared.
She also shared a gorgeous snap with pro dancer Nadiya, with the latter wearing just a bikini out in the January cold.
Sara looked stunning in a colourful palm tree printed swimming costume as she smiled alongside her Strictly pal.
Others to join on the adventure included Rhys Stephenson, Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin, who is now out of isolation following a positive Covid test.
After having some fun on the beach, they went off to a local cafe to warm themselves up with hot chocolate.
It comes after Nadiya reportedly split from her footballer fiancé Matija Škarabot, with it rumoured she is now dating pro Kai Widdrington.
An insider told Mail Online the pair were looking forward to being able to spend more time together on the 36-date UK tour.
They told the publication: ‘It’s no secret Nadiya and Kai are incredibly fond of each other.
‘Their chemistry is obvious and they’ll be looking forward to spending more time on the road together.’
Strictly Come Dancing returns later this year to BBC One.
