Good Morning Britain’s Ranvir Singh has been impressing on Strictly Come Dancing – but has paid the cost, with her feet being left battered and bruised.

The TV reporter appeared on GMB this morning and admitted she had to wear slippers instead of her usual professional shoes.

Weather reporter Laura Tobin was quick to call out her pals footwear, and said: ‘Can we just point out that your feet hurt a lot so today you’re wearing slippers?’

‘I am wearing my slippers, I’m so sorry!,’ Ranvir laughed. ‘It’s the cha-cha-cha, the balls of my feet are so sore.

‘But nobody needs to know this – I am sure it’ll all be lovely on Saturday!’

Ranvir became a shock contender for the glitterball last weekend after shooting up the scoreboard with the highest score of the year so far – earning 27 out of 30 for a Foxtrot inspired by Dreamgirls.

Partnered with Giovanni Pernice, Ranvir has been cheered on by her GMB colleagues, including an impressed Piers Morgan.

Speaking about the performance today, Laura called her ‘amazing’ for last week’s routine, to which Ranvir modestly tried to knock away.

‘To be fair, the Strictly magic – some of it is dancing, but a lot of it is the hair, make-up and outfit, right?,’ Ranvir said.

‘It looked like I was from the poster for the film!’

This week, Giovanni and Ranvir will perform the Cha Cha to Oye Como Va/I Like It Like That by Santana/Pete Rodriguez.

The high energy routine will be the fastest-paced for the pair yet, after performing a Paso Doble in episode one, followed by two graceful ballroom routines.

Let’s hope her feet are feeling better by Saturday.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
