The country is busy getting into the Christmas spirit, and now Sue Perkins has been announced as the host of a new celebrity snow building competition on Channel 4.
The programme, titled The Greatest Snowman, will see stars put together their finest festive creations for the camera.
Comedian and presenter Sue will oversee the action as a host of as-yet-unconfirmed celebrity names attempt to be named the show’s ultimate ice artisan.
The one-off special will see stars travel to an Alpine resort to compete in an epic snow building competition over the course of three days and nights.
‘Judged by experts, all will risk chilblains as they attempt to carve and construct incredible structures made from snow and ice,’ the synopsis reads.
‘The competition will culminate in the ultimate snowy challenge where the famous faces will use all they have learned in each round to attempt to construct The Greatest Snowman!’
A release date for The Greatest Showman on Channel 4 has yet to be confirmed.
It comes after Sue opened up about how she’s facing up to challenges she’s encountered as a female comic.
The star, who made her name alongside Mel Giedroyc and used to host the Great British Bake Off, opened up about the hurdles women can face in the industry.
‘The limitations that I find have been very female in nature,’ she told Metro.co.uk ahead of the Women of the Year Awards.
‘Sometimes it’s been my own lack of confidence or feeling that I can’t do something, that I shouldn’t do something, that’s held me back.
