Kaley Cuoco is best known for her role as Penny on The Big Bang Theory, but some fans will remember she once starred on the hit series Charmed.
The actress played apprentice witch Billie Jenkins during the eighth – and final -season of the drama alongside Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs, and Rose McGowan.
Though she had already made a name for herself starring on shows like 8 Simple Rules, the 34-year-old actress admitted she had been terrified to join the cast in 2006.
Recalling her first day on the Charmer set on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, the actress revealed Alyssa Milano had been on hand to calm her nerves.
She explained: ‘I did one year of Charmed and I was so terrified to join that show. It was overwhelming as a 21-year-old to go into that. I was the new girl and they had been there for seven years.
‘My first day of work I had to go in the afternoon for a gallery shoot after they had been shooting all morning. I get there on their lunch break and I’m terrified to the point of wanting to cry.’
Kaley continued: ‘I walk into the makeup room and they’re all sitting in the corner having lunch. I look and give a wave. Then Alyssa stands right up, leaps across the couch, puts her arms around me, and says “Welcome to our show, I’m so happy you’re here.”
‘I know it sounds really small but that changed everything. I’ll never forget that she did that when I was so scared.’
Charmed ended after that season and, luckily for Kaley, spin-off plans never happened meaning she was free to join the cast of The Big Bang Theory.
The show became a runaway hit and Kaley went on to become one of the highest-paid actresses on TV.
Now fans will get to see Kaley in a whole new light as her new thriller The Flight Attendant makes its way to HBO Max.
