The Big Bang Theory’s Kunal Nayyar has urged fans to be kinder to themselves in a sweet message of reassurance during times of unease over the US election.

With the result of the presidential race still uncertain at the time of writing, the actor posted on Instagram to be a source of support over the uncertainty of, not just the Trump V Biden result, but for everything in general during 2020.

But Kunal, who is best known for playing Rajesh Koothrappali on the sitcom favourite, wants his followers to remember to make the most out of life – and be kind to each other no matter what the result.

In his message, Kunal wrote: ‘On this day. I wanted to say something. Elections will come and go, viruses will come and go, wars will come and go, our very bodies will come and go.

‘It’s okay to feel anxious. It’s okay to feel uneasy, there is a lot of uncertainty in the air. It’s okay to be sad, or confused or stressed.

‘But. It’s also okay to be happy, it’s also okay to laugh at the absurdity of this all, it’s okay to hold the ones you love, and it’s okay to be you. YOU, are all of it.

‘Don’t try to be too much like this, or too much like that, because at the end of your life, all that will matter, is how lovingly and compassionately you treated all those who came across your path … and no matter what happens – nothing can change that… I Love you.’

Kunal is currently in the UK filming his new dramatic role in Apple series Suspicion, starring alongside Uma Thurman who is on the hunt for her missing son.

He’s even managed to sneak on some Big Bang fans – after overhearing them watching the show in their hotel room.

After playing Raj for 12 years, Kunal has been diving in headfirst into more dramatic roles, with a stunning turn as a killer in Netflix series Criminal in August.

The Big Bang Theory is available on Netflix.
