Call Me Kat has been terminated after ratings dropped in the third and final season of the sitcom.
Call Me Kat was the US remake of Miranda, starring The Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik, who also co-produced the comedy with Jim Parsons. It followed a 39-year-old single lady named Kat who was out to show that you can’t have everything and still be happy.
‘We are very proud of Call Me Kat. But, unfortunately, the audience response to it was not as strong as we had hoped,’ said a Fox spokesperson.
‘We are thankful for our partnership with Warner Bros. Television, That’s Wonderful Productions, Sad Clown Productions, BBC Studios, Mayim Bialik, Jim Parsons and the entire cast and crew for their work and dedication to Call Me Kat.’
Fans were devastated at the news, with several sobbing face emojis and messages that simply said, ‘Noooooo.’
‘I Hate Call Me Kat was cancelled. Made my week. Any chance of them changing their minds?’ asked one of Bialik’s fans, while someone else conceded that while they were ;sad’ it’s ovrt, actually ‘I do like how it ended’.

There’s also a petition to preserve the programme, which presently has three signatories as of this writing.
The cancellation was announced mere hours after the season three finale aired in the United States, with Bialik asking viewers to catch up on streaming without mentioning the cancellation.
Please contact me Kat also starred Leslie Jordan, who died unexpectedly in 2022 during filming the third season.
The tenth episode, titled Call Me Philliam, paid respect to the character while also breaking the fourth wall to recognise Jordan.
Call Me Kat is available to stream on in the US.
