The Celebrity Circle: Pete Wicks leers at ‘lovely’ Rachel Riley bikini picture

The Celebrity Circle kicks off this evening, and Pete Wicks has wasted no time getting to know his new persona Rachel Riley – perhaps a little too well.

The Towie star is partnered with Made In Chelsea’s Sam Thompson, with the pair hoping to catfish other celebrities by pretending to be the Countdown host.

While setting up their profile, Pete leered at a ‘lovely’ picture of Rachel in a bikini.

The moment came during Tuesday’s launch show, when the pair had to decide which image to use as Rachel’s display picture in the Circle.

While Pete first wanted to use a picture of Rachel scuba diving, Sam had other ideas.

‘Really, why would you have a scuba diving picture on your profile?’ Sam said.

‘Because it shows I’m adventurous, I’m in a couple, it shows I can dance underwater.’

After they agreed not to use it, they returned to the menu page, which featured a shot of Rachel on the beach in a bikini.

‘The bikini one, if we can just have a look at that,’ Pete said.

‘I knew you were going to go there,’ Sam said.

‘Yeah, I mean we’re not gonna use that, but lovely,’ Pete said, looking at the picture.

The pair joined a host of new faces ready to play the game during Tuesday’s launch show.

While some of the celebrities are playing as themselves, others – like Pete and Sam – are catfishing as another celebrity identity altogether, hoping to convince the other players that they are the real deal.

The pair are joined by the likes of Denise Van Outen, Sam Thompson and Saffron Barker on the new series.

The Circle continues tomorrow at 9pm on Channel 4.
