The Circle is set to return to screens very soon, with Channel 4 dropping a mysterious teaser video.
Emma Willis is returning to host the third series of the addictive reality show, which sees contestants isolated from each other as they try to win the popularity contestant.
The catch is, they can either be themselves or someone entirely different, as they never actually see each other in person, but speak through a type of social network, known as The Circle.
While we haven’t got an exact date, the series is set to return to screens next month, kicking things off with a Stand Up To Cancer celebrity version.
Baga Chipz, Charlotte Crosby, Denise van Outen, Duncan James, Lady Leshurr, and Saffron Barker are some of the big names taking on the celeb version – so watch this space!
The new trailer sees The Circle reimagined as a futuristic establishment where citizens can come to boost their influence and ‘say goodbye to the unpopular you’.
Host Emma makes a small cameo in the eerie clip, with the star quipping: ‘Just like The Circle itself, it’s pretty fun getting to try on a new identity.
‘I loved having a sneaky little walk-on part in the trailer, though I probably won’t hold my breath for a Hollywood blockbuster audition.’
The first series of the reality show had viewers hooked, as contestant Alex Hobern posed as Kate, using photos of his girlfriend.
He had most of his fellow players fooled, with the series culminating in a dramatic clash between him and fellow contestant Dan Mokasu (although the pair later became friends for real).
Alex (spoiler alert) ended up winning the £50,000 prize after winning over the group as Kate, as well as the extra £25,000 after being voted the fans’ favourite.
However, series two was won by Paddy Smyth, who played the game as himself, making it a little impossible to know which is the better game plan.
Only time will tell…
The Circle returns to Channel 4 and All 4 next month.
