Gillian Anderson has shared an incredible behind the scenes image from the set of Netflix’s The Crown, reclining like a boss across two thrones.
The actress plays Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher on the show, but she put herself in Queen Elizabeth II’s shoes in the new pic.
Gillian took to social media to share the image of herself relaxing on set, adding the caption: ‘Just trying it out.’
She might not get a chance to sit on the throne in The Crown, but she looks born to do it.
Gillian has impressed critics and viewers alike with her performance as Margaret Thatcher, having joined the show in season four.
Her arrival on the Netflix drama has coincided with the most controversial run of the show to date.
The most recent season has come under fire over its depictions of Royal Family members between 1977 and 1990, including the show’s portrayal of Princess Diana’s eating disorder as well as Charles’ affair with Camilla.
Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden previously proposed for the TV series to air a warning message telling viewers that its content is fictitious, however, Netflix won’t be following suit.
Star Josh O’Connor has since branded the Culture Secretary’s calls as ‘outrageous’ and described the move as a ‘low blow’.
