The exploding penis from The Boys was real and here’s a disturbing behind-the-scenes photo to prove it

The Boys season 3 returned with truly the most horrifying moment on television ever – the exploding penis scene.

In it, a supe called Termite (played by Brett Geddes) has the ability to shrink, a not-so subtle ode to Marvel’s Ant-man, but uses his power to sexually pleasure his lovers.

And in the first 15 minutes of The Boys we learn what happens when that kink goes wrong, which proved to be traumatising for fans.

During the after party of The Seven’s film premiere, Termite crawls inside a guy’s urethra, has a little dance inside, before heading to the prostate.

Only, before he gets there he sneezes and accidentally blows up the guy before he’s even managed to climax.

After being caught by Frenchie and Kimiko, he attempts to blow up Frenchie with the same technique, before Butcher swoops in and manages to catch him in a bag of cocaine.

Now Brett, who had the honour of starring in the scene, has shared a picture of the actual penis Termite climbed into alongside his stunt double Alex Armbuster.

Captioning the picture, which also shows him covered in fake cocaine, he wrote: ‘For those wondering…the d**k is real

‘Me and my stunt double @armbruster.stunts after each taking a turn jumping on the trampoline of coke. #theboys #theboystv @theboystv.’
