The Love Trap contestant Suzel Mackintosh shared photos of her scars from a horrific dog attack during last night’s episode of the Channel 4 dating show.

The series, which launched to mixed reviews last week, follows former Too Hot To Handle star David Birtwhistle on the hunt for love, sharing a house with a string of beautiful women.

The catch? Some of them are single and ready to mingle, while others have a boyfriend and in it only for the £20,000 cash prize.

During the latest edition, Suzel, Nelly and Lauren were brought in to confuse David even more.

But newbie Suzel, who instantly clicked with David, opened up to him about a very difficult experience she’d been through when they went on their mini-date.

Before they went off for some alone time to get to know each other better, Suzel told the cameras she was convinced her career in modelling was over after she was mauled by a dog on a camping trip.

Suzel, who is originally from Australia, shared a picture of her scarred face on the show and said of the shocking incident: ‘It was one of the toughest things, but I’m still doing what I love.’

At the time, her injuries made national news, with Suzel saying she felt she ‘looked like the Joker’.

However, despite the pair’s instant chemistry, David was suspicious Suzel may not have been who she said she was and picked her as one of his three suspects, before he was forced to send one girl home.

Suzel admitted she was taken aback by being placed in his list of suspects in the first place.

‘I was a little bit shocked just because I thought we were bouncing off each other and we had a good energy,’ Suzel said.

However, it was Kelly who he chose to take a trip through the floor, after Suzel and Nelly managed to convince him they should remain in the mansion – for now.

But who will be the next girl to have to take a dive through the love trap doors?

The Love Trap airs Wednesdays at 10pm on Channel 4.
