Warning: spoilers ahead for season 2 of The Mandalorian.
Season two of The Mandalorian is almost over and throughout the series, eagle-eyed fans have spotted several Easter eggs to previous Star Wars entries.
However, not every reference has been related to Star Wars.
During Chapter 15: The Believer, one fan noticed that there was a nod towards Office Space.
The reference comes about when The Believer found Din (Pedro Pascal) teaming up with ex-Imperial sharpshooter Mayfeld (Bill Burr).
Along with Cara Dune (Gina Carano), Din was successful in getting Mayfeld out of New Republic prison, so that he could assist Din with locating Moff Gideon’s ship.
With us so far?
After they make is inside the facility, Mayfeld spots the console he needs, although there’s a slight complication.
Despite Mayfeld trying to abort the mission, Din attempts to access the panel himself.
When Hess’ (Richard Brake) suspicions grow he asks Din for his ‘designation’, his TK number and serial code.
Before Din’s cover is blown, Mayfeld steps explaining that his hearing is impaired.
He then tries to excuse themselves by explaining that they need to file a ‘TPS report’ (which is a nod towards Office Space).
Office Space is a 1999 film which features a character called Peter Gibbons (Ron Livingston), a software engineer who is tired of his boring job and makes a vengeful plan with two of his friends to plant a virus in his company’s system.
It seems that is not the only thing eagle-eyed viewers noticed as in the latest episode they questioned why Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) has a perfectly trimmed moustache.
After all, he never takes off his helmet, so why does he need one?
The Mandalorian is available to watch on Disney Plus.
