New footage released of The Mandalorian season 2 has got fans excited over the potential tie-ins to the larger Star Wars world.

A new teaser trailer debuted on Monday evening during Monday Night Football US, and saw the bounty hunter (Pedro Pescal) declare that he was on the hunt for more Mandalorians to help him achieve his mission of getting Baby Yoda/The Child to safety.

This could mean that Boba Fett – one of the stand-out characters of the original film franchise – could finally be making an appearance, especially considering rumours that someone has been cast in the role.

However, some fans have noticed that there is an ever-increasing possibility that one of the Mandalorians in question could be Sabine Wren, who was a leading character in animated series Star Wars: Rebels.

In fact, some Reddit viewers think they’ve cracked her upcoming appearance… and it makes a lot of sense.

Sabine has previously been the owner of The Darksaber, an ancient and one-of-a-kind form of lightsaber, which was used by the evil Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) in the season one finale.

My Celebrity Life –

Is Sabine about to join the adventures of the Mandalorian?

The character is known for her brightly coloured, oftentimes purple, hair… which ties in with WWE star Sasha Banks, who has been cast in this series in a currently unnamed role.

Sasha was first connected to the project back in February, but has kept quiet about who she is, and what she will be doing in the galaxy adventure.

She joins other rumoured additions to the cast including Santa Clarita Diet star, Timothy Olyphant.

Thankfully, we don’t have too much longer to find out just what exactly these guys are up to…

The Mandalorian season 2 starts streaming October 30 on Disney Plus.
