Stephen Mulhern has addressed whether he is going to be the Zip on the Masked Dancer, admitting he definitely has the moves for the show.
After the line-up for the Masked Dancer was announced this week, rumours quickly began circulating that the person inside the gold Zip costume might be Stephen.
The presenter, 44, spoke to Lorraine Kelly about whether or not it was him in the elaborate suit.
He said on her show: ‘I don’t know whether you’ve heard this rumour that I am meant to be on the Masked Dancer?’
Lorraine replied: ‘Yes, as the Zip – we were talking about it earlier on!’, after the pair had watched Stephen appear on Saturday Night Takeaway painted entirely gold.
Stephen teased: ‘Well, the problem is now you have seen me doing those sort of dance moves… that’s who they think I am.

‘Am I? That’s the big question. Well the truth of it is, at school I was called Mulhern the Mover, so…
‘Snake hips Stevie, that’s what they called me! So is it me? Well, you’re going to find out soon.’
It comes after the character line-up was revealed for the show, which will air on ITV and be judged by Davina McCall, Oti Mabuse, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan.

The Masked Dancer follows on from the huge success of The Masked Singer, and will see celebrities compete to show off their best moves in a variety of elaborate costumes while the judges try and decipher who is inside.
As well as the Zip, other characters include Carwash, Rubber Chicken and Knickerbocker Glory.
There are sure to be some exciting names inside the costumes, as past Masked Singer contestants have included Ne-Yo, Joss Stone and Mel B.
Lorraine airs weekdays from 9am on ITV.
