The Masked Singer UK star Mark Feehily revealed that his involvement in the wild and wacky series left his daughter feeling ‘confused’.
The Westlife icon, 41, finished in third place, followed by runner up Charlotte Church as Mushroom, while Natalie Imbruglia as Panda stole the crown.
While Mark was a strong contender from the viewers, the performer claimed that his daughter knew he was behind the mask from his voice alone.
Following his exit, he said: ‘I was very proud watching it back.
‘And my daughter was freaking out because she recognised my voice and was looking at the Robobunny and was just confused.’
Before the big reveal, Mark also duetted with original champ Nicola Roberts in her Queen Bee costume, as well as giving everyone goosebumps with his rendition of Snow Patrol’s Run.
On October 3, 2019, Mark and his partner of four years Cailean O’Neill, announced the birth of their daughter Layla, who was born via surrogate in the United States.
The World Of Our Own hitmaker also credited the show for helping him with his ‘self-esteem’.
‘I have always struggled with self-esteem and self-image and thankfully more recently have stopped caring as much.
‘But it was a huge relief to be able to cast off all the rules and just let my voice fly in a different direction and mostly have fun,’ he added.
However, Westlife superfan Rita Ora, was ecstatic, after guessing Mark was behind Robobunny for a number of weeks.
This year’s unforgettable series of The Masked Singer saw a swathe of stars unmasked, from Destiny’s Child icon Michelle Williams, tennis legend Pat Cash, footballer Michael Owen and Keane lead singer Tom Chaplin.
The Masked Singer is available to watch on ITV Hub.
