Rita Ora has vowed not to let herself get ‘heartbroken’ on the new series of The Masked Singer.
The much-loved show is back for its second series from Boxing Day and Rita is returning to the judging panel, alongside Davina McCall and Jonathan Ross, while host Joel Dommett will be back too.
Fans will recall that last series, Rita ended up falling for Chameleon and was caught flirting up a storm with the masked star.
She was certain that it was boxer Anthony Joshua behind the mask and viewers saw her joke that meeting on The Masked Singer would be a great story to tell the kids.
Rita was left a little red-faced when the Chameleon was finally unveiled as Justin Hawkins from band The Darkness and she’s vowed not to let herself get too attached this time round.
Speaking ahead of The Masked Singer’s return, Rita said: ‘I thought I’d found my Prince Charming last season, what happened?’
‘I didn’t have those expectations again this season, I didn’t want to be heartbroken again,’ she joked.
Rita also teased that this year’s series of The Masked Singer has stepped it up a notch when it comes to the celebrities keeping their identities a secret.
Insisting it’s been so much harder to guess who’s who, Rita said: ‘It’s more difficult for me this year now with guessing. I came in as the champion from last year, full of confidence and now I’m sort of second guessing everything because they’ve made all the clues ten times harder.
‘I think on purpose so I don’t win. The sabotage is unbelievable!’
Her comments come after Rita was seen trying to guess who the Chameleon could be last series and even confessed that she’d been having dreams about the mysterious performer.
She said on The Masked Singer: ‘Are you Anthony Joshua? I’d love that, or maybe you can be Stormzy, he’s gorge too. Or you can be Lewis Hamilton.
‘Or you could be… I do have a dream list, we might be here for a while. If it is the man of my dreams in there, it will be the funniest story to tell our kids.’
When the Chameleon was eventually de-masked, Rita was seen covering her face as she cried: ‘I have absolutely gone red, I can’t do this any more!’
‘This has blown me away,’ she confessed. ‘This has made me feel like we have absolutely no idea what’s happening.’
The Masked Singer returns Boxing Day at 7pm on ITV.
