The Masked Singer US delivered the biggest shock of the series on Wednesday night, revealing a surprise triple elimination in the semi final.
The highly-anticipated Super Six took place on the show and viewers were left stunned after three undercover celebrities were given the boot.
Things kicked off with a group performance to a-ha’s Take on Me, offering early clues about the singers’ identities to panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke and guests judge Craig Robinson.
Then came the individual performances. Seahorse delivered a rendition of That’s What I Like by Bruno Mars. Nicole loved the performance, saying: ‘There isn’t anything you can’t do with your voice, honey.’
Next up, Crocodile performed Aerosmith’s Don’t Want to Miss a Thing, which Robin called his best performance to date in the competition. It earned Crocodile a spot in the finale, meaning Seahorse was eliminated.
Mushroom then took on Jellyfish, singing Amy Winehouse’s Valerie and Rihanna’s Stay. Mushroom impressed the most, meaning Jellyfish was unmasked.
FInally, Popcorn sang Tina Turner’s Better Be Good to Me, while Sun took on Billie Eilish’s When The Party’s Over. It was Sun who impressed the most, moving on to the next stage of the competition.
Then came the moment fans were waiting for, as the identity of the three losing performers were revealed. Popcorn was unmasked as singer Taylor Dayne, who said she ‘had a ball’ in the competition, telling the judges: ‘You guys made me cry under this mask so many times.’
Next up, Jellyfish was revealed as Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim. She told the panelists: ‘You guys gave me so much confidence after each week and it’s just been such a fun experience to be able to put myself out there, be vulnerable. I really, really appreciate it.’
Finally, the last departing contestant Seahorse was revealed as Tori Kelly, who Nicole and Robin had suspected. She said: ‘I thought it’d just be fun to come out here and show a whole other side of myself, be a little more sassy.’
It comes after the programme unveiled Canadian music legend Paul Anka was unmasked as the Broccoli last week. The 79-year-old artist was revealed during the special Thanksgiving show after losing the Smackdown against the Mushroom.
His exit from the competition follows surgeon Dr Elvis Francois, who was unmasked as the serpent, and NBA player Lonzo Ball, who was undercover as Whatchamacallit.
