The Real Full Monty On Ice: Linda Lusardi freaks out as girls are told they’ll be stripping alongside the boys

Linda Lusardi was seen freaking out on The Real Full Monty On Ice after being told that the girls will be joining forces with the boys and stripping together.

The ITV series sees a whole host of stars come together to get their kit off in order to raise awareness of cancer and the importance of people getting themselves regularly checked.

Usually, the male and female stars perform separately, but wanting to spice things up this year, host Ashley Banjo has decided to choreograph a joint routine.

He left Coleen Nolan with the task of breaking the news to the girls during Monday night’s episode, with Love Island star Shaughna Phillips’ face being a picture and Linda fretting over the prospect of being nude next to one of her male co-stars.

‘It’s a bit of a worry, I just hope it’s not too close in proximity,’ she said, before pointing out: ‘I don’t think my husband will be happy if I’ve got my t*ts in someone’s face.’

Linda – who was hospitalised with coronavirus earlier this year – later confessed on the show: ‘I don’t have the same body as I did in my 20s so I’m not confident as I was physically, it’s terrifying.’

Coleen urged the girls to ‘trust’ Ashley and not everyone was against the idea, as former Emmerdale star Hayley Tamaddon called the joint routine a ‘genius idea’.

‘I think it’s a genius idea, it will be more of a spectacle,’ she told the group.

Ashley was seen voicing his concerns, after seeing the girls react to the joint routine. He said: ‘I’m worried about Linda, the way she reacted to the news she is clearly not happy.’

To try and boost confidence among the group, Ashley organised a photoshoot for both the girls and boys to take part in, with the stars required to strip down in front of each other and pose naked with fun Christmas props.

When Ashley suggested a quick photo all together, the group were unconvinced and wouldn’t go without their robes, prompting a worried Ashley to say: ‘I’m hoping by the time we get to do it for real, we can get past it.

‘But right now there’s a lot of people out there going, “I don’t feel comfortable yet.”‘

Monday night’s episode also saw the stars involved sharing their own personal stories of how cancer has affecting them and their loved ones, with former X Factor star Jake Quickenden breaking down as he revealed both his dad and brother died from the illness.

Shaughna recalled losing her dad Eddie to cancer, while Coleen shared her heartache over losing sister Bernie. She also spoke of her two sisters Linda and Anne being diagnosed with cancer and how she fears she could be next.

‘I can’t bear losing any more sisters… it’s been horrendous actually,’ Coleen said.

‘You know you try and be strong for them because they’re being strong but there’s just times when you feel so weak with it… then there’s the panic of, “Am I next?” because it’s obviously in my family.’

Fans will get to see this year’s stars, including Jamie Lomas, Chris Hughes, Gareth Thomas and This Morning’s doctor Zoe Williams, perform their Full Monty routine tomorrow night.

The Real Full Monty On Ice continues Tuesday December 15 at 9pm on ITV.
