Viewers of The Traitors have pulled their hair out after seeing a mission unfold.
On Friday night’s edition of the reality show, Traitors Paul, Harry, and Miles were charged with carrying out a murder ‘in plain sight’.
Instead of discussing who they intended to kill next in the protection of the tower, they were told they had to do it in the castle, when the other players were there.
Although the group was able to sneak outdoors and avoid discovery while contemplating their options by the fire pit, returning inside proved more difficult.
After making their decision, they had to enter the library and locate a ‘poisoned chalice’ inside a copy of Macbeth.
Some of the other players inquired briefly about the three men’s whereabouts but did not pursue the matter further.
Paul stated that he was beginning to feel nervous and’sweating’ as they hurried to uncover Shakespeare’s text.
Meanwhile Harry was worried: ‘If we can’t even find the chalice, how is someone going to look for it.’
To avoid discovery, Paul and Miles claimed to be looking for their water bottles as they entered and exited the library.
Even Miles seems unsure about how he would explain things if someone came upon them.
‘I was there searching for this book when everyone knows I don’t read,’ he shared.
‘I can’t help but found the Traitors hilarious trying to find the glass. It was so obvious especially when Miles asked Paul to help him find his water bottle,’ viewer Daisy posted on X.
‘Just seeing those 3 in the library mooching about looks SO bloomin’ obvious!’ Claire Field wrote.
‘The Traitors finding the chalice in the library were just as obvious as The Six disposing of a body in EastEnders,’ Danny Lew shared.
Others said they couldn’t be acting ‘more suspicious if they tried’, with someone else saying they ‘deserved to be found out’ with their poor efforts.
Some viewers were left frustrated tuning in.
‘These three could not be MORE obvious? HOW IS EVERYONE SO OBLIVIOUS?? This is INFURIATING!’ Michelle Pryde declared.
They ultimately found what they needed, and the episode ended on a cliffhanger as it looked Diane would be slain after ostensibly taking the chalice from Miles as they stood by the bar.
The Traitors continues Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One.
