The latest exile saw Brian sent packing, leaving Traitors watchers on the edge of their seats once more.
The second season of the gripping reality series premiered last week, leaving viewers waiting days to see how the game would go after seeing the first three episodes.
On Wednesday evening, the programme returned, delivering all of the twists and turns that viewers had come to expect yet were still surprised by.
During the second expulsion of the season, attention focused on events organiser Ash Bibi, a Traitor, and photographer Brian Davidson, a Faithful.
Despite being a Faithful, Brian’s outburst when accused of not being a team player raised suspicions even more.
Brian also conceded that he would be ‘very entertaining’ but’might crack under the pressure’.
So when it came down for the rest of the group to make their decision during the tie-break, it was Brian who had enough people questioning his motives.
The final vote came down to chess coach Anthony Mathurin, who thought it was Brian who could not be trusted.
As he stood up to announce to the group he was a Faithful, Brian said: ‘My heart is going mad. Don’t take anything personally. I am gutted to be voted off for being who I am…I am a Faithful.’
Claudia Winkleman, the host, jumped in, telling the group that they were ‘doing the Traitors work’ for them.
Those watching at home couldn’t get enough of the moment, which came after days of waiting for the unveiling, especially because two of the Traitors had turned against themselves.
‘There’s gonna be some words in The Traitors tower tonight,’ Ash McGregor shared on X.
‘This is absolute cinema,’ viewer Steven posted.
‘I knew Brian was gonna get banished, I can’t wait for the awkwardness with Ash,’ William wrote.
This occurred when company manager Paul Gorton and British army engineer Harry Clark voted to send fellow traitor Ash home.
At the time she told the camera: ‘What the hell are you doing? I’m actually really really surprised.’
Paul then explained his reason for doing so, adding: ‘She’s really poorly performed as a Traitor. If you poorly perform, there’s consequences.’
When it came to confronting the others, Ash did not hold back, telling them she was ‘f***ing p***ed off’ and said that ‘early in the game we need to be a team’.
The first person slain prior to tonight’s expulsion was Faithful Aubrey Emerson, 67, a retried store owner from Loughborough.
Sonja Clarke, 66, a banished Faithful, accompanied her as a volunteer business mentor.
The next Faithful sent home was Kyra Johnson, a 21-year-old apprentice economist who had been slain by the four Traitors.
The Traitors continues tomorrow at 9pm on BBC One.
