Ariana Grande revealed exactly how Blake Shelton reacted to rumors that she will be replacing him as a coach on The Voice USA.
The 45-year-old county star stumbled upon the news online and immediately shared a link with the newest coach.
Ariana then shared a screenshot of the interaction on Instagram on Friday as she revealed her amusement at Blake’s reaction.
In the snap, Blake wrote: ‘Thanks a lot Ari… Thanks a f**kin’ lot.’
The article in question claimed that The Voice USA producers are ‘quietly’ searching for ‘more current’ to help make the show more appealing to a younger demographic.
Thankfully, Ari could tell it was all love as she clearly put ‘heart’ reactions to the messages.
However, the 7 Rings singer did throw shade a cheeky bit of shade at her fellow coach after editing a clip from Mean Girls directed at Gwen Stefani’s new husband.
The clip shows Regina George, played by Rachel McAdams, writing about herself in the infamous Burn Book’.
Except instead of pasting her own photo to the page, Ari edited it so it looks like she’s posting a photo of Shelton.
The current season of The Voice USA is the first season with Ariana as a coach and the singer is already fitting right in as she battles Blake, John Legend, and Kelly Clarkson to find the next great singer.
The Voice airs on NBC in the US.
